A gentle blend of medium and silvery grays spun over a white wool core. This soft, textured overlay yarn evokes the natural tones of worn stone—perfect for neutral, grounding accents in your woven pieces. Center-pull for ease of use.

Our overlay rug yarn is thick, strong, and ready for work. Each bump weighs approximately 30 ounces and measures about 100 yards in length, with an average diameter of 3/8". It’s spun around a durable wool core using 100% wool fiber for both structure and softness.

Our overlay yarn is designed to layer color over a contrasting base, allowing the underlying tone to subtly show through and create depth and dimension in your finished rug.

Designed for rug weaving, crocheting, or other sturdy crafts, this yarn is made to hold up to use while working up quickly. Every bump includes a branded center-pull tag, making it easy to find your starting end without digging or unraveling.

One bump makes a rug approximately 2' x 2' on our peg loom.

Spun in small batches at our mill in Western New York using local wool from shepherds we know.
